Background was changed to include a garden.
This is a long stitch but creative stitches and different threads have been used. Soft cotton, wool, stranded and rayon were used. The sunflowers are wool with up to 50 wraps to one side of a petal and the centres are spliced wool in french knots.
The posts are in long stitch and the fleece is in turkey stitch. The floor and roof are stitched in continental while the people are stitched in vertical continental.
Creative Tapestry. This canvas originally had wool bales on the wagon but it was changed to logs. The hat is made of felt. Soft cotton, wool, stranded and metallic threads were used.
Long stitch. This was Melissa's first go at long stitch. Both pieces were done for her new babies nursery.

Threads used...wool, soft cotton,stranded, silk ribbon and pearl No 5. The chimney is stranded in brick stitch. The roof is wool in long stitch. Lorrel has created her own cottage garden.
