I used 90 coats of oil based varnish for this blanket box. I use it for my Teddy Bears.  It is lined with black crushed velvet.

Waste paper bucket.  Painted in Matisse Heritage Green then pansy paper was cut on and glued on.  Water based varnish was used.  Because the bucket has ribs down the side I used 30 coats of varnish and was happy to leave it at that.

Wooden plaque base coated... the pictures and verse were burnt around the edges before being sealed and glued on.  Gives a very old look to the piece.
