I used 90 coats of oil based varnish for this blanket box. I use it for my Teddy Bears.  It is lined with black crushed velvet.

Paper made into transfers. The gourd was cut make it a container.  Water based varnish was used and it  was  lined with crushed velvet.

Tissue box has a decorative base coat using cross hatching and then de'coupaged.  Water based varnish was used.

Paper mache chest...sprayed gold then the inserts were crackled with black over the gold.

The pictures were photo-copied from The Womens Weekly  commemoration of 60 years after WW2.  There are picture and letters from the war.  It is a great storage box.  Oiled based varnish was used to give the old look.

The wall and floor were painted and the bears were de'coupaged.  Water based varnish was used.
