Glass plate is de'coupaged from the back so it can be used for food. This plate cannot be placed in water. To clean it you can only wipe it with a damp cloth. A metal edge was glued on the edge.

The gourd was left natural colour and country print paper used to cover it. Water based varnish was used. The gourd came up very smooth and looks good.
