A timeless craft - de'coupage is the ideal way to store your memories!
De'coupage is craft which involves cutting out pictures and applying them to a timber piece and then applying many coats of varnish ending with a smooth surface. This is the time-honoured “correct” way, requiring plenty of time and practiced skill. But luckily we now have an easier but just as effective way - using GLASS MAGIC. GLASS MAGIC is a product that is the equivalent of 40 or more coats of varnish. Done right, it looks great!
In our classes you will learn how to de’coupage - and we can supply papers, quality timbers, paints for base coats, varnish, sealer, glue and scissors to get the job done right.
To learn de'coupage, you will need to attend five fun classes after which you can go to a social day or night held on the third Monday of each month. De'coupage often needs follow up help. You will get up to the varnishing stage in the classes then guidance will be provided for sanding - (an electric sander is now used for this).
